Our headquarters in southern Lazio are located in Gaeta. Gaeta is a lovely seaside medieval town with a beautiful historic centre on the South Tyrrhenian coast. The town is located on a picturesque peninsula just south of Rome en route to Naples, facing one of the most beautiful gulfs of Italy.

How to get there?

By air :
There are three international airports that can be used to reach this part of Italy. Rome Fiumicino, Rome’s main airport and also Rome Ciampino from north. Naples airport Capodichino from south. Gaeta is almost exactly half way between Rome (88 miles) and Naples (63 miles), in an ideal position to enjoy day trips to two of the most beautiful and interesting Italian cities. From Rome Fiumicino there are good connections to Rome central train station Termini. From Rome Ciampino Airport there are regular bus services to Rome’s Anagnina station.

By car from Rome and Naples :
There are several routes. The easiest journey is by using the main national motorway, the A1 or Autostrada del Sole from Rome exiting the motorway at Cassino. From Cassino another confortable motorway the SS 630 will take you to Formia on Gaeta Gulf, few miles away from Gaeta. There is also a panoramic route from Rome exiting from the Autostrada del Sole A1 motorway at Roma Sud and then using the G.R.A. (Grande Raccordo Anulare, similar to London’s M25) towards south in direction of Naples and exiting at SS148 Pontina until the town of Terracina. After passing the seaside town of Terracina (you either pass through or avoid the town centre), either follow the beautiful coastal road SS213 Via Flacca to Sperlonga till Gaeta or use the inland SS7 Via Appia road to Itri. After the ancient town of Itri the Via Appia will take you to Formia, 10 minutes driving from Gaeta. The average driving time from Rome is between 1.5 up to 2 hours. From Naples you can either take the A1, in direction Rome (north) and then exit in Cassino or take the SS Domiziana. The first route (A1 from Naples) is slightly longer, but usually faster than the SS Domiziana, very popular by local holiday commuters. The driving time from Naples is about 1 hour in normal traffic conditions.

By train :
There are regular hourly trains from both Rome and Naples stations to Formia, Fondi (for Sperlonga). Formia is the nearest train station to Gaeta (about 7 miles). From Formia train station there taxi services to Gaeta. For more detailed travel information go to section USEFUL INFORMATION.
