The natural beauty of Palmarola Island

This little island can be reached in just 40 minutes by boat from the larger island of Ponza. In the 18th century was still an important base for barbarian pirates. Palmarola is still rather wild and is uninhabited, but in summer a few refreshment points and two typical restaurants oin at Cala di Porto are opened for visitors. During late spring and summer time, if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you can come here where scuba diving and snorkeling are always available. Best period to visit is between May-July and September when not too many tourists fill its crystal waters. Whoever appreciates the beauty of Mediterranean landscapes, the peace and wild beauty of nature will love Palmarola.

There are amazing natural caves and interesting spots for scuba diving or simply swimming in the crystal clear blue waters. The beauty of these waters and its spectacular landscapes and sunsets are itself a reward to enjoy. If you love serenity and living in wild nature this is the most charming places and you can find best if you experience it by sailing with a yacht charter. Sailing around the isle's coasts will allow you to admire all the sceneries between the sea, the rocks and the marine caves.
